Midsole

The mid portion of the shoe generally made out of cushioned foams materials in athletic shoes that sits below the upper and above the outsole.  Foam material used to construct the midsole provides support, protection from impact forces and often increase durability.  The most common materials used are EVA or Polyurethane foam [1].
